NIT Meghalaya Recruitment 2017 – 11 Junior Assistant & Other Vacancies – National Institute of Technology (NIT), Shillong, Meghalaya has published a recruitment notification for special recruitment of 11 Assistant Registrar, Superintendent, Technical Assistant (Computer Centre/ Civil), Junior Assistant, Junior Assistant (Library) and Multi Tasking Staff (Welder) posts on permanent basis. NIT Meghalaya Recruitment Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification:

For Assistant Registrar posts should have acquired Post Graduation Degree in any discipline with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade “B” in the UGC 7 point scale from a recognized University/ Institute with excellent academic record.

For Superintendent posts should have acquired first class (Hons.) Bachelor Degree or or equivalent grade from a recognised University/ Institute in any discipline.

For Technical Assistant (Computer Centre/ Civil) posts should have acquired first class Diploma of 3 years duration from a recognised University/ Institute in Engineering (Computer Science/ Civil) with 2 years relevant experience or Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Computer Science/ Civil) from a recognised University/ Institute.

For Junior Assistant posts should have acquired Bachelor Degree and proficiency in use of Office Automation Software.

For Junior Assistant (Library) posts should have acquired Graduation in Library Science with 2 year’s experience working in a Library or Post Graduation Degree in Library Science.

For Multi Tasking Staff (Welder) posts should have acquired 10th pass from a recognised board, ITI certificate in Welder Trade, 2 years relevant experience.

Age Limitation:

Applicant’s age limit should be below 35 years for Post (01), 30 years for Post (02, 03) & 27 years for Post (04, 05, 06) as on last date of receipt of the applications. Age relaxation is admissible for candidates under the Reserved Categories shall be as per Govt. of India norms.

Selection Procedure:

Selection for above designation will be done based on applicant’s performance in Examination/ Interview.

Fees of Application:

Applicants have to pay application fees which is Rs. 500/- (Rs. 250/- for SC/ ST/ PWD candidates) for Post (01), Rs. 200/- (Rs. 100/- for SC/ ST/ PWD candidates) for Post (02, 03, 04, 05, 06) in the form of Demand Draft only drawn on any nationalized bank in favour of National Institute of Technology Meghalaya, payable at Shillong.
