Soldier General Duty & Other Vacancies – Indian Army has published a recruitment notification for special recruitment of Soldier Technical, Soldier Technical (Amn/ Avn), Soldier Nursing Assistant, Soldier General Duty, Soldier Tradesman & Soldier Clerk/ Stre Keeper Technical posts to enroll unmarried candidates into the Army from 07 districts of Tamil Nadu state viz. Vellore, Thiruvannamalai, Chennai, Cuddalore, Tiruvallur, Villpuram, Kancheepuram and Puducherry district of the UT of Puducherry.

Indian Army Recruitment Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification:

For Soldier Technical posts should have acquired 12th/ Intermediate examination pass in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English with 50% marks in aggregate and 40% marks in each subject.

For Soldier Technical (Amn/ Avn) posts should have acquired 12th/ Intermediate examination pass in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English with 50% marks in aggregate and 40% marks in each subject or 03 years Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical/ Electrical/ Automobile/ Computer Science/ Electronics & Instrumentation) from a recognized Polytechnic Institute/ ITI.

For Soldier Nursing Assistant posts should have acquired 12th/ Intermediate examination pass in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English with 50% marks in aggregate and 40% marks in each subject or B. Sc Degree (Botany/ Zoology/ Bio Science) and English (Simple Pass).

Age Limitation:

Applicant’s age limit should be 17 years 06 months to 23 years for Post (01 to 03, 05, 06) & 17 years 06 months to 21 years for Post (04) as on 01-10-2017.

Selection Procedure:

Selection for above designation will be done based on applicant’s performance in Physical Fitness Test/ Physical Measurement Test/ Medical Exam/ Common Entrance Exam/ Screening of Documents and Rally.
