Full Job Description

We are looking for a IT Operations Engineer, to join our product and services team. We specialize in developing software applications for recruitment industry and servicing customers both internal and external in Australia for over 15 years. We are also a Microsoft Gold partner.

Key role
Work with a team of highly technical Operations Engineers, Software engineers, System Administrators and end users to engineer products which is highly available, build reliable systems, tools, automate processes and to provide service to customers

Technical skills
Networking fundamentals: DNS, TCP/UDP, IP Routing, HA & Load Balancing Concepts
Basic programming/Scripting skills (PHP, Python, Ruby, PowerShell)
Knowledge of SQL Server (DB setup, management) and complex SQL queries
Knowledge of on premise and Cloud infrastructure (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS)
Windows System administration
Good troubleshooting skills

Roles and Responsibilities
Build automated tools to facilitate software deployments
Manage on premise and Cloud infra through
oNetworking
oServer and Device Management (backups, Windows AD)
oHelpdesk
Be the primary point for overall health, performance, monitoring of the entire infrastructure
Gather data and analyse log results to measure performance, monitoring and availability
Excellent oral and written communication skills. Provide great customer service, respond to escalations and build self-serving tools/methods for customers and support teams.

Desired skills and Experience
5+ years of experience
BS degree in IT, engineering or related field
Knowledge on: virtualization, docker, public clouds, relational and non-relational databases , web architectures , filesystems, config management, regular expressions
