Full Job Description

The program has been designed in such a fashion that School pass-out students after completing the program can get a job, as this program aligned with the Industry specific Job roles.

This program has been designed as per National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) & Health Sector Skill Council (HSSC) guideline and listed in Qualifications Pack – National Occupational Standard (QPNOS).

This program is aimed at training of candidates for the job of “Homecare Attendant”, in the Healthcare Industry.

Prerequisites to Training

Preferably Class 10th pass, Age between 18 and 25, Upper body strength and coordination, no colour blindness, no active TB infection, no physical/mental disabilities. Body weight is minimum 45 kgs.

Demonstrate skills which provide for the restorative needs of patients; Demonstrate effective written/oral communication in maintaining relationship with patients, families, and other health care members; Maintain the rights of patients; Perform nursing assistant care with regard to the principles of infection control; Demonstrate procedures in a safe therapeutic manner in the healthcare setting to meet mandates, etc.

Responsibilities and Duties

Provide basic nursing care to patients in all age group in the healthcare setting; perform comfort and personal care measures in the healthcare setting; provide basic emotional, physical, psychological, and spiritual support to clients in the health/home care settings; cooperate with the health care team members to coordinate delivery of nursing assistant care and seek guidance when necessary; exhibit professional conduct, appearance, and ethical behaviour when providing nursing care.
