We are a county hospital looking for a radiologist to assist our staff with patient imaging. You will educate the patients and their families on how they should prepare for each procedure, monitor patient condition during the tests, configure the equipment to produce quality images and consult with other medical professionals during the diagnostic process. The ideal candidate has four years of experience working with radiology equipment, is board-certified, has strong verbal and written communication skills and wants to make a difference by working in a fast-paced hospital. This position is full-time and offers health and dental insurance, along with a generous compensation package.

Radiologist Job Responsibilities and Duties

Evaluate patient pain levels to determine whether they require physician intervention.
Process X-rays in a timely manner to assist physicians with the diagnostic process.
Answer questions from the patient and their families to ensure they understand the procedure.
Provide patients with instructions on properly preparing for imaging in advance of the procedure.
Set up radiology equipment and ensure that it is working properly for accurate scans.
Follow HIPAA regulations at all times when handling patient images.

Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications

Board-certified radiologist with current, state-required license
Four to five years experience in a hospital environment
Strong communication skills and ability to listen to patient feedback and medical professionals input
Strong data entry skills when inputting imaging data
Passed X-ray training program
