Software Developer Jobs in Chennai. Hiring company- Sura Systems, Velachery, Chennai

Applications are invited from freshers for the position of Software Developer in Sura Systems. Only candidates with a Chennai address will be considered.

Candidate Profile:

Freshers with a strong background in algorithms and programming. Candidates who have verified certificates after taking programming or machine learning courses in Coursera and EdX will get first preference. Candidates with programming exposure to Python, Java, Go, and frameworks such as Hadoop, Django, Node will get preferential treatment. It takes two years to become proficient in algorithm and product development. We are looking for people who will be part of our team. Please apply only if you are willing to stay with us for a minimum of four years. This is not negotiable.

Educational Qualifications: MCA, ME, M Tech, MS, BE with a strong programming exposure.

Please come prepared for a simple test involving programming (C or C++ or Java or Python or Ruby or a language of your choice) and logic. Please apply ONLY if you are confident of taking this test. Applicants who pass the test and interview will be absorbed after a probation period of 2 months. This is a full time position, not a part time job.

Terms of Employment:

If you perform well in the test and interview and are selected, you will be asked to join immediately and put on probation for the first month for Rs 8000. If you are able to cope with the learning curve, you will be made permanent for the first year at Rs 10,000 per month for the first six months and Rs 12,000 per month for the subsequent six months. Your salary may be increased **any** time during this period depending on your technical progress and contribution. Provided your performance is satisfactory during the year and if you are able to actively assist and contribute in our client projects your salary will be increased from second year onwards based on your work. SuraSys (Sura Systems Private Limited) develops Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, Machine Vision and Big Data solutions and applications across domains such as Natural Language Processing, Speech, Image, Video and Machine Vision. We work on cutting edge platforms such as Hadoop, H20, Spark, Drill, Neo4J, FlockDB, MongoDB. For front end we primarily use node, and Django. We work exclusively in Amazon Web Services, Heroku and Rackspace. In the last three years we have developed Foot Metrology and Measurement solutions, Sentiment Analysis algorithms and solutions, Near Duplicate Detection algorithms and legal eDiscovery engine and Record Linkage and name disambiguation solutions for US based clients.

We have developed several web based solutions for US and Canada based startups that have been sold to OEMs and other companies. Our web applications are developed in Node, Django and Rails and are hosted in AWS and Heroku. We are primarily an algorithm development company which specializes in developing highly scalable solutions and applications. We also develop native applications in iOS and Android which involve Vision and Speech. We do not do student projects.
